The Wisconsin Falconers Association is a club that shares ideas which enhance the care, welfare, and training of our birds. Our club does not perform falconry demonstrations or programs for several reasons:

  • Federal regulations specifically state that falconers are liable for all education activities and most falconers do not have insurance that covers this.

  • Federal regulations state that falconers may charge a fee for conservation education programs, but the fee may not exceed the amount required to recoup the costs. This results in the program being purely a volunteer activity.

  • There are several very well-respected raptor education groups in Wisconsin that support the conservation of raptors and promote the continuation of falconry that we do not want to take away funding opportunities from, since education programs are their main form of fundraising.
